Household Energy Display on at Brisbane Square

RED-i Design has just completed an exhibit which is currently on display at Brisbane Square for three weeks. Brisbane City Council's CitySmart division asked RED-i Design to create an engaging display about the things you can do at home to help combat climate change. The inner artwork panel was created in a magazine collage style and showed the inner workings of a multi-story house. On the left side was a high emitting household and on the left a low emitting one. RED-i Design created the artwork by hand, meticulously cutting out each element from recycled magazines and books to create the eclectic interiors. The panel was literally 'housed' inside a cabinet which was accessible through recycled doors mounted to the front to give a feeling of walking inside a family home. Door frames and ornaments were hung on the insides of the doors with facts and figures as well as hints on being 'green'. A welcome mat was added to the front to add to the homely feel.
